Witsand Glamping – What to do on the property and in the area.
As if private beaches and endless views aren`t enough here are a few other things to keep you busy while visiting us at Remote Locations Witsand Glamping Experience:
We have access to 2 private beaches – one right in front of the stretch tent and one 2 km east from the main area. You will require a 4×4 to drive to the second beach but you can walk there.
There are no lifeguards on duty at any of our beaches therefore please choose your swimming spot carefully.
At low tide there are rock pools to swim in and on high tide you can still swim at certain spots. Please ask the staff where the safest places are to swim.
Fishing / Angling:
Shore angling is a huge draw card in this area – if you are an avid fisherman, bring your fishing equipment with you and try your hand at fishing. There are a few spots close to the camp known by the locals as spots where big fish are pulled out.
Hiking, Trail running, Mountain biking:
Trail runners / hikers and mountain bikers can have a field day here – we have access to 14 km of farm road on the property and then all the gravel roads in the area.
There are a number of hikes on the property:
You can walk along the beach from camp to Witsand village – about 6km
Hike from camp to 2nd beach – 2km each way
Long route: about 14km which follows the perimeter of the property
shorter route: 7km circle covering half the property.
